Upon clicking "Next" the system thinks for quite some time and then simply says "Something went wrong." That's it. The next screen asks me to create a user, a password, and a password hint. Since I didn't create a Microsoft account, I just chose "skip this step".

At the second to last screen, it asked me to sign in to my Microsoft service. I went through the process of installing the Windows 10 ISO, and everything seemed to be working wonderfully. I already run Ubuntu inside Virtual Box so I know it works. I have the latest version of Virtual Box (at the time of writing this) installed on my circa 2008 Mac Pro (not a laptop).

Now, granted, I didn't do Step number one which says to "Sign up for the Windows Insider Program." I figured I'd try to install it with the ISO since they'd let me download it and provide me with a product key it without joining any Microsoft program. I downloaded the Windows 10 Insider Preview from here: So since my organization will almost certainly stay on with Windows 7 until they pry it from our cold, dead hands, I figured I should at least get my hands dirty with Windows 10 at home.
